The Clerk They Mocked Was a Legendary Spy

Watching a grown man get humiliated for eleven episodes before the story lets him move is a specific kind of patience test, and this one earns it. Zero was the CIA's only agent of his name; now he is a school social worker people talk over, and the show milks every small disrespect until the mafia grabs his daughter and the mask has to come off. What sells it is not the gunplay — serviceable, rarely clever — but the geometry of the reveal: bullies recalibrate in real time, and the script keeps a second, bigger predator circling so the wins never feel final. At sixty-six episodes the pacing stays procedural rather than padded. Skip it if you need polish; stay if you like quiet men, overdue respect, and the moment a crime family realizes its mistake.
