If you binge vertical dramas on your phone, queue this up tonight. On the surface this is a Fantasy serial, but underneath it is a story about obsession, loyalty and consequences — and "I See the Death Countdown" plays both layers for all they are worth.

Death gives Leo a gift nobody asked for: a red countdown over the head of anyone with three days to live. He shrugs it off until a stranger with a zero dies in front of him, then boards a plane where every passenger's number is zero. The scene where he tries to stop takeoff and the passengers throw him off is the show in miniature — and Anna, the only one who believes him, is the reason the thriller has a heartbeat.
