The Banished Heir: Of Ice and Ember

Two dragon souls, one written-off daughter, and a clan about to be audited. When the Sacred Flame reignites, Queen Aria's egg is branded cursed and her child Valeria is cast into exile — where five mighty beasts raise her into the kind of heir prophecies worry about. The return arc is the engine: Valeria comes back not for applause but for evidence, and the show smartly makes her investigation the plot instead of a preamble to it. The twin-souls reveal reframes the whole clan hierarchy — the true Dragon King was the exile everyone discarded — and the ice-and-ember duality gives her power set a visual grammar most fantasy shorts skip. Beast-guardian found-family warmth offsets the court cruelty, and the revenge, when it lands, is institutional rather than petty. Forty-four episodes, no sag. For viewers who like ousted-heir stories where the outcast is factually superior, this scratches precisely.
