Short-form drama fans, this one goes down easy and hits hard. On the surface this is a Underdog Rise / Urban serial, but underneath it is a story about obsession, loyalty and consequences — and "The Sea God's Return: Vengeance for my Daughter" plays both layers for all they are worth.

A sea god running a beer stall to honor his late wife's wish and raise their daughter is a great image, and the show commits to it. Mary passes the archmage trial, gets bullied by Ivy, and on coronation day the bully destroys Luna's relics and drops the girl from a tower — at which point dad stops being a bartender. The quiet-then-terrifying father reveal is the whole appeal.

Tropes on the menu: family bonds, the chosen one. The pacing is relentless in the best way: no filler, just escalation.
