Stand-in Bride, Comatose Husband

Swap the bridal veil for a market order book and you have this show's whole energy. Financial prodigy Stella is forced to stand in for Vivian and marry brain-dead heir Henry Howard, and the series immediately makes the smart choice: she treats the dynastic marriage as a hostile takeover of her own life. What follows is Wall Street as combat sport — recruiting the capable Arthur, dismantling rivals David and Victor, and methodically beating the Council that assumed a stand-in bride was furniture. The romance with Arthur grows out of professional respect rather than rescue, which refreshes the contract-marriage shelf. Fifty episodes sustain the climb with takeover after takeover, and the comatose husband stays exactly as quietly sinister as the premise needs. Viewers who like heroines winning by valuation rather than tears will find this the genre's sharpest suit.
