Living as a Ghost, Only to Watch Him Unlove Me

Ghost stories usually haunt houses; this one haunts a relationship. Claire dies saving Ethan, sticks around as a spirit, and then must watch four years of triage: her things donated, her anniversary rewritten, her successor measured against a memory only she can see. The rose mark counting down her soul gives the grief a deadline, and the show is honest enough to make moving on look reasonable from the outside — Ethan is not a villain, which is the crueler choice. The revenge promised in the tags is quieter than expected: mostly it is witness work, with interventions at the margins. Viewers allergic to slow-burn sorrow should steer clear; this is a cry first, catharsis later. But as a paranormal study of being loved, lost, and replaced while standing in the room, forty episodes rarely drag.
