Synopsis
The opening cruelty is calibrated: Aurelia gives the mage Lucian seven years, and he repays her by leaving her to freeze on a peak and handing her realm's last hope to his lover. The show's smartest move is who she calls — not another mentor but Draven, the dragon king she once saved, flipping the rescue debt into a coronation. From there it is a competence romance with a national stake: restore the Frostheart, save the people, and audit the traitors with dragon-backed authority. Lucian and Vivienne's downfall is staged for maximum irony, and the script resists redeeming either. Worldbuilding is functional rather than deep; the Frostheart rules appear when the plot needs them. Thirty episodes, no sag. For betrayed-heroine fans who want rescue that is repayment rather than luck, this burns clean and cold.
